GOAL Conferentie - Barcelona

The European Forum for Urban Security (Efus), the city of Barcelona, other partner cities of Project GOAL (Gathering of All Local forces to prevent violence in sporting events) and Eurofan all have the pleasure of inviting you to attend the final conference for Project GOAL which will take place on 21st May 2012 in Barcelona (Spain).

Please find here the program and the registration form.

The project addresses problems which appear during sport events. These problems are foremost a local issue that cities have to manage. However local authorities do not have all necessary skills, knowledge and contacts for which to do so. This project addresses this gap: its general objective is to support cities in the prevention of sport-related violence through the promotion of a multisectoral and comprehensive approach.

Since 2009 this project has involved the cities of Lille (France), Liège Charleroi (Belgium), Solna (Sweden), Geona (Italy) and Mannheim (Germany) on the subject of the role of local authorities in the prevention of sport-related violence.

The Forum was founded upon the principle of sharing, exchanging, studying, dialogue and cooperation in order to identify best practises and ways of supporting cities in day-to-day activities and making their work more efficient.

The experience and results obtained during the Project GOAL will be presented at this conference. On this occasion Efus, experts and partners will interact with other European cities and institutions, and specialists on this issue.
